Welcome to Dartmouth Manta Rays Swimming Club

Welcome back everyone to what I expect to be a very exciting and fast paced season of swimming for the Manta Rays . This year we have Charlene Bramfield returning to us in the Head Coach position , Charlene is one of the most dedicated people I have ever met , her passion for coaching and love of swimming makes for a strong foundation for our club . Assisting Charlene will be Alicia Forbes , Alicia has been with the Manta Rays longer than anyone else on the club , she started out as a swimmer and continued on as an assistant coach . Alicia is so well liked by the swimmers sometimes it is is challenge to move them up to the next level as they want to stay with her . We are certainly glad she is back with us . This season we have a new face , Ivan Dunic , Ivan hails from Croatia and was an assistant Coach with the Dartmouth Crusaders last year . He has a masters in Kinesiology but his true passion is Coaching . I am confident we are going to have a banner year with the coaching staff we have this year . Lets go Manta Rays!

The Manta Rays have some new faces on the executive , we would like to welcome , Meet Manager : Tracey Leblanc and Secretary: Darlene MacDonald . There is always room on our executive should you want to join us .

This season we are trying to schedule swim practices which allow for better use of the pool and coaches . There may be a few changes once we get a better idea of numbers .

Last season we tried to have better communication among the parents and I believe we succeeded but the communication between the swimmers and coaches could have been much better . This year if you or your swimmer have concerns please come forward as soon as possible so we can try and resolve them together . We want everyone to have a great experience being part of the Manta Rays and promise to do everything we can to make it happen .
